Listed below you will find a variety of products used in this industry. It is important to always be up to date on the latest technology to best meet our new and current customers satisfaction. We take pride in using the most efficient product to meet your watering needs for your landscape.
Sprinkler Heads
There are generally two types of sprinkler heads used depending on the water coverage needed. Rotary heads and mist spray heads. An example image to the far left is a mist spray type head that covers smaller grass or flower bed areas. Rotary type heads are used to cover larger grass areas. Other styles of sprinkler heads are stream rotors mainly used for vegetation.
Valves and Valve Boxes
Automatic valves are a very important component when your intentions are for your system to operate automatically. The amount of valves used depends on the number of zones needed to operate your system according to psi and gpm test results. (Which when getting estimates is an important question to ask the estimator if they took these tests and what the results were. It would be like attempting to build a house with out a tape measure and the proper measurements). Your valves should be found buried in the ground covered with a valve box to protect the valve and wiring connections. Depending on the size of the property they could be bunched up in one box or in different areas.
Automatic Controllers or Timers
Here is another important step for your sprinkler system to run automatically. Your timer can be placed in your garage or basement. The timer is wired to the automatic valves buried outside. The timer when set properly will operate the valves in the sequence you choose so the the system is operating in zones and not all at one time.
Backflow Devices
These devices are required to protect the quality and safety of the drinking water supply. They prevent the sprinkler water from backing up into the house water. Also, they should be installed by a licensed plumber, there are certain codes and requirements depending on which town the installation is taking place.
Pipe and Fittings
Generally a Polyethylene Irrigation pipe is used for water supply in residential and some small commercial projects. When a large residential or commercial project is the task sometimes PVC pipe will be used. The size of the pipe depends on the volume of water and PSI at the particular site. Depending on the pipe used there are a variety of fittings. For Polyethylene pipe insert fittings are used for connections fastened by a clamp. As far as PVC there are solvent weld or ring-tite fittings.
